BaconFestChicago had the pleasure today of encountering a fellow-traveler on the bacon-paved information superhighway. Jenni Spinner, a fellow facebook denizen and ambitious bacon-blogger, reached out to us across the internet divide after spying our http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=74055287213.

Jenni has recently begun a series of rigorous and scientastic bacon experiments, in which she tests the universality of bacon by wrapping it around all sorts of stuff and then frying it up, eating it, and judging it. (That would be a good name for her memoir, I think: “Fry, Eat, Judge: The Jenni Spinner Story”.)

She records her progress at http://bacondujour.blogspot.com.  Out of 21 experiments to date, most seem to have been successful – Bacon + Dill Pickle = Terrific; Bacon + Sweet Potato = Fabulous.  Only a few abominations have presented themselves: bacon and celery disappoints; bacon and onion earns a “meh”.

We look forward to seeing how BDJ Labs’s research progresses.  We have little doubt that the thrust of the research can only lead in one direction: toward total bacon domination. All flavors that do not mesh with bacon shall be abolished.  BACON BACON BACON. Jenni Spinner, BaconFestChicago salutes you!
