Piece unites classic New Haven-style thin crust pizza with award-winning microbrews in a spacious loft setting. Piece opened in July 2001 after transforming a roofing company garage into a pizzeria/brewery complete with a skylite ceiling and sunken lounge area. Sports fans can catch events on a series of eleven 42” plasma TVs that span the length of the bar. Revelers pack the house for games and special events.
Piece has been serving fine quality hand crafted lagers and ales produced in small batches in our seven barrel brew house since opening in July 2001. Piece was named Top Independent Pizzeria of the Year by Pizza Today Magazine in 2011 and Piece brews have won an impressive total of twenty one medals at the World Beer Cup and the Great American Beer Festival. Most recently, a bronze medal at the GABF this year, a medal at the 2010 World Beer Cup, and 2006 Champion Small Brewpub and Brewer at the World Beer Cup. Brewer Jonathan Cutler has 12 years of brewing experience, having brewed at some of the most well-respected breweries in the country. He is a graduate of the esteemed Siebel Institute and received formal training from the Master Brewers Association of America.
