READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE BUYING TICKETS (which go on sale Thursday March 4th at 12pm CST.)
Ok Bacon-nation, the time has finally come!!! I’s dotted, t’s crossed – Let’s do this!!!!
Tickets will go on sale at noon this Thursday March 4th.
Here are some VITAL FACTS:
1. The event is on Saturday April 10th at the Stan Mansion in Logan Square.
2. Tickets will cost $45.00 plus service and handling charges.
3. You MUST purchase ticket(s) for either the 11am-2pm shift, OR 3pm-6pm shift.
Both shifts are staffed with 12 of the best Chefs in Chicago presenting the Bacon-creation of their choice. The Bacon-vendor Expo and Bacon-Bar and Lounge will be open all day from 11am-6pm.
4. IF and I stress IF you must try every single dish available at BFC that day, you must buy tickets to both shifts. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. At the Publican last Fall, guests could barely finish the servings of 10 chefs. Now you’ll have 12 chefs serving. Really do you want to eat 24 Bacon dishes? IF you do, feel free, we won’t stop you, but we won’t call you an ambulance either. Access to both chef serving shift’s requires you buy tickets for each shift seperately. Again, only advised for the bacon-diehards and those seeking an early death.
Your $45.00 will include access to 12 first-class bacon courses, a gift bag, and a BFC’s Guide to Bacon Souvenir Program. Not to mention access to the amazing products and samples from a wide assortment of bacon-vendors who will be selling everything from gourmet smoked bacon to bacon-lip-balm to bacon-cupcakes to bacon-tshirts and jewelry. Plus there’s some good Karma coming your way – a portion of each ticket sale will go to a favorite local food charity, and an Arts-in-education program to be named shortly.
Check back Thursday for the link to our ticketing service. SERIOUSLY – Put this Thursday (March 4th) at noon in your calendars!!!! Set an alarm or something. The Publican event last Fall sold out SO SO FAST.
WE ARE EXCITED!!!!!!!
Also, I’m reviving the bacon-poetry/song writing contests: SEND ME YOUR BACON POEM (haiku’s are welcome) – OR BACON SONG in the next 48hrs.
If it is awesome, and I mean awesome!, we’ll give the authors of our favorite poem AND song a pair of comps. (And we’ll do a reading/singing of it at the opening/closing ceremonies.)
I’m not joking. Let’s hear some Odes to Bacon!
