Friends,
I won’t bore you with purple prose or flowery descriptions of the latest developments in our Baconfest production calendar.
But, I will say this. I’m excited for Baconfest this year. We have a special Friday VIP-only bacon-ramen pop-up from the most notorious noodle fiend in Chicago. We just announced an opportunity for Saturday Lunch and Dinner attendees to sample rare mezcals from the private stash of our buddy Lou Bank of the organization S.A.C.R.E.D. – these particular spirits are literally impossible to try in Chicago, outside of a private audience with Lou.
And now, we’ve released the breakdown of chefs and restaurants by session, so you can find your favorite and choose your session accordingly. Many Baconfest faithful have already purchased their tickets, firm in the knowledge that every Baconfest session will provide a bevy of bacon delights for attendees. For those of you who prefer to know the talent lined up at each session before committing ….. well, now you know.
Dawdle no more! Check out the breakdown, pick your session and get your tickets now!
OK, maybe just a little purple prose to help you process your options!
Friday Dinner
Ballers can sample u/Ramen_Lord’s limited edition bacon ramen at the VIP hour. Everybody gets access to an incredible array of chefs. We love ALL the chefs, but we’re bristling with anticipation to see what whimsical bacon delights come out of the XO Marshmallow stand – known for their instagram friendly cookie-dough filled chocolate-dipped marshmallow cones and pillowy craft marshmallows in a wild array of flavors (butter beer?! rosé?! confetti!? Heck yeah!). Oh yeah and also – Mike Sheerin from Taureaux Tavern! And Golden-Rasher-Winner Guy Meikle from Heritage Restaurant and Caviar Bar. Oh but also! Thai Dang from Michelin Bib Gourmand HaiSous! But seriously, there’s a lot of great restaurants!
Saturday Lunch
Yes, we’ve got S.A.C.R.E.D. with the exclusive agave spirits. But we’ve also got the three-peat Golden Rasher defending champions Honey Butter Fried Chicken who have done more at Baconfest to advance the fried-chicken / bacon nexus than any other chef in Chicago. And also! NoMI! Dang, that’s fancy! And! The Delta! Hot Tamale!
Saturday Dinner
This is the shift when the chefs and the guests traditionally let their hair down. So, get ready for an amazing bacon party. We’re psyched that Chicago Chop House is joining us for the very first time. And we are so happy to have Kimski back – Won Kim and Anthony Baier are pillars of the Chicago chef community and they’re sure to put their signature creativity on display. Plus! Matt Troost, two-time Golden Rasher champion, will be in the house representing his latest project, Good Measure. He made us bacon queso fundido for a snack on our FB Live Video and it was … delicious.
