I start out by making the dough with pork lard, then I roll finely chopped bacon into the dough. Fill with sugared apples, caramel and bacon, then bake. When cool, I top with icing that is made with confectioner’s sugar, bourbon maple syrup, and finely chopped bacon. Now this is the poptart of your bacon dreams. A cup of coffee is all you need with it.
