Alright Bacon Nation, let’s do this!!
The Illinois Pork Producers Association presents Baconfest Chicago 2011 on Saturday, April 9th at the UIC Forum.
BREAKING NEWS:
Baconfest Chicago is thrilled to announce the incredible roster of culinary talent joining us to celebrate Bacon on April 9th. Our city’s and nation’s largest Bacon-celebration would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and these amazing chefs and restauranteurs. Bacon Nation, love them as we do and appreciate that they are gathering not only in support of our charity beneficiary THE GREATER CHICAGO FOOD DEPOSITORY, but out of a genuine love for Bacon, and a desire to share that love with you!
Over 50 chefs and restaurants are getting together to exhibit the bacon-creation of their choice. Need we say more?
Tickets ($65.00) will go on sale in late February. As always, the Baconfest Chicago faithful will be rewarded with advanced info on the exact schedule of ticket-release. Sign up on our mailing list if you are not already. And follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
Because they’re fun and cool, one of our sponsors Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats is sponsoring THE NUESKE’S AMATEUR BACON COOK-OFF as they did last year. Stay tuned for announcements about how to enter (and win tickets).

Seth, Michael and I could not be more thrilled and grateful to have so many fantastic chefs and restaurants joining us for Baconfest Chicago 2011 – proving yet again “All you need is Bacon, Bacon… Bacon’s all you need”.
And I would be remiss if I did not throw out one more “Huzzah!” to The Illinois Pork Producers Association. Their support of Baconfest Chicago and the Greater Chicago Food Depository is truly heroic, and we could not do this without them.
Cheers,
Andre Vonbaconvitch
