Hollywood has the Oscars. Broadway has the Tony’s. Some chefs long for a James Beard Award. But to our Bacon Community, only one prize matters – the engraved pewter pigs our judges bestow for achievement in the bacon arts – the Golden Rasher awards.
For chefs, we offer prizes in two categories – Most Creative Use of Bacon and Best Front of House Presentation.
For the bacon public, we offer prizes for Best Bacon Poem, Most Creative Use of Bacon by an Amateur (decided with an Amateur Bacon Cookoff sponsored by Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats) and Best Bacon Cocktail.
