Greetings Bacon Nation:
We at Baconfest Chicago hope you all are well and enjoying early November!
As we hope you all already have marked in your calendars, Baconfest Chicago 2013 is scheduled for April 20th 2013 at the UIC Forum.
Meanwhile, we know that April 20th is a long way off. And, as in years past, we are pleased to announce our Bacon Satellite Dinner Series which we will be co-hosting at 4 fantastic restaurants this Fall/Winter. For those of you new to Baconfest Chicago Satellite Dinners, they work as follows:
Each restaurant and their chef/culinary team dedicates an evening to present a multi-course gourmet bacon dinner featuring amazing bacon dishes and cocktails. Baconfest Chicago co-hosts these dinners, which in the past, have proven to be incredibly fun and mind-blowingly bacon-tastic.
Four great restaurants are participating this year along with a host of awesome sponsors led by Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats, Candid Wines, Tempelton Rye and Greenbush Brewery. Our dinners in the past at Chalkboard, Atwood Cafe, Custom House Tavern, the Southern/Eve, and Paddy Longs were all spectacular. This year’s line-up is looking out of this world.
Here is the schedule of events and a brief overview about each dinner/restaurant. Click on the link for more details about each dinner.
Tuesday November 27th – Hearty Restaurant – Chef Dan Smith
Monday December 3rd – Masion Brasserie – Chef Perry Hendrix
Monday December 10th – Red Door – Chef Troy Graves
Monday January 14th – Three Aces – Chef Matt Troost
Come to one, some OR come to all four and receive an extra special bonus: if we see you at all four Satellite Dinners, we’ll give you a complimentary BFC apron or t-shirt, and we’ll put you on the “Baconfest Insiders” list which will guarantee you early access to purchase 4 general admission tickets to Baconfest Chicago on April 20th. We hope to see you at one or more of these fantastic restaurants!
NOTE:
In a few weeks, we’ll be starting full force on restaurant recruitment for 4/20, so any restauranteurs/sponsors out there interested in exhibiting with us, feel free to email andre@baconfestchicago.com and we’ll be sure to get you the formal invite. And we’re open to suggestions from anyone out there as to new restaurants in the Chicagoland area we should invite. (See here for a list of last years roster of exhibitors.) Stay tuned to baconfestchicago.com for details and make sure you JOIN OUR MAILING LIST.
